Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work as an Assembly Operative in Andover? Look no further, as Aligra is now recruiting on behalf of our esteemed client. Join us and be part of a dynamic team that is committed to delivering high-quality products to customers.

 

As an Assembly Operative, you will play a vital role in the production line, ensuring that products are assembled to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Paint Prep: Prepare products for painting by cleaning and sanding surfaces, masking off areas that should not be painted, and ensuring all materials are properly prepped.
  • Assembly: Follow detailed instructions to assemble components and parts using hand and power tools. Ensure all parts fit correctly and perform quality checks to maintain high standards.
  • Material Control: Monitor and control the flow of materials to ensure that the production line has an adequate supply. This includes organizing and maintaining inventory, tracking material usage, and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Warehouse Duties: Assist in general warehouse duties, including receiving and storing incoming materials, picking and packing orders, and loading/unloading shipments. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform regular quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards. Report any defects or issues to the supervisor and assist in troubleshooting to resolve problems.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Report any hazards or incidents immediately to the appropriate personnel.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the identification and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an Assembly Operative or in a similar role is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.
    Excellent manual dexterity and ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and independently.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and inventory management.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities.

 

Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 16:45 (13:00 finish on Fridays)
