Aligra is a leading recruitment agency, working on behalf of our client, to find a highly skilled and motivated Transport Manager for their Andover location. As Transport Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the transport operations, ensuring efficient and safe delivery of goods. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing organization and play a key role in its success.


  • Conducting regular one-to-one meetings with drivers to address any concerns and provide feedback.
  • Ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Managing recruitment and training of new drivers.
  • Managing vehicles defects, checking, reporting, and service planning:
  • Conducting regular inspections of vehicles to identify any defects and ensuring necessary repairs are carried out promptly.
  • Planning and scheduling regular service and maintenance activities.
  • Managing drivers hours and infringements
  • Investigating and addressing any infringements.
  • Communicating policy changes to drivers and ensuring compliance.
  • Representing the company as a Fleet Operator
  • Recognition Scheme (FORS) champion.
  • Promoting and maintaining FORS standards within the organization.
  • Ensuring compliance with operator’s license requirements.
  • Keeping up-to-date records and documentation.
  • Verifying drivers’ licenses and ensuring they have the necessary CPC training.
  • Ensuring drivers are kept up to date with the latest regulations and best practices.
  • Responding to and investigating any incidents or accidents involving company vehicles.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with legal requirements regarding driver hours and weight restrictions.
  • Optimizing delivery routes for efficiency.
  • Ensuring drivers’ workloads are manageable and in compliance with regulations.
  • Providing guidance and support to drivers to optimize their performance.
  • Recording and managing any Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) or driving offenses.
  • Implementing measures to prevent recurring offenses.

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 DOE
