Job Responsibilities:

As a Stores Person in Andover, you will play a vital role in the smooth running of our client’s stores/warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will include:

Organizing Stock: Ensuring the efficient organization and storage of stock within the warehouse. This includes accurately labelling items, categorizing them, and maintaining a clean and tidy workspace.

Goods In/Out: Receiving incoming goods and checking them against delivery notes or purchase orders. You will be responsible for accurately recording and processing all goods received or dispatched, including inspecting the quality and quantity.

Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate stock records and conducting regular stock takes to identify discrepancies. You will utilize inventory management software to track stock levels, generate reports, and identify any potential shortages or excesses.

Picking and Packing: Fulfilling customer orders by accurately picking the required items from the storage area and packing them securely. This will involve measuring and weighing goods and ensuring they are packaged appropriately for transportation.

Health and Safety: Adhering to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and other team members. You will use equipment safely, report any faults or hazards, and follow proper manual handling procedures.

Communication: Collaborating with other team members and departments to ensure efficient stock management and smooth operations. You will communicate any stock-related issues, such as shortages or damaged goods, to the relevant personnel.

Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 16:30

Salary: £12.21

Requirements: To excel in the role of Stores Person in Andover, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

• Proven experience working in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or stores environment.
• Forklift licence is beneficial but not essential
• A keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills, including the ability to accurately record information.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and other related tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects safely.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
