Stock Controller

Aligra Andover

Aligra, on behalf of our client, is currently seeking a Stock Controller to join their team in Andover. As a Stock Controller, you will work closely with the Stock Control Team to ensure that all stock control measures are in place and accurately followed. This is a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring stock levels: You will be responsible for conducting regular stock takes and tracking real-time stock quantities to ensure accurate inventory management.
Minimizing stock adjustments and losses: You will effectively track all stock movements within the warehouse, working to minimize stock adjustments and losses.
Consolidating stock: Daily consolidation of stock will be required to ensure optimal storage and organization within the warehouse.
Recording stock control transactions: You will be responsible for recording all stock control transactions and keeping the Warehouse Management System (WMS) up to date.
Collaborating with various departments: Working closely with all warehouse departments, finance, customer service, and the internal auditor to ensure smooth operations and accurate stock control.
Daily cycle counts: Conducting daily cycle counts to ensure accuracy of stock levels and identify any discrepancies.
Managing damaged products: Ensuring that no damaged products remain on the shelves and transferring them to the damaged or disposal location with relevant system transactions.
Re-checking picked, damaged, or disposal items: Conducting proper re-checks of picked, damaged, or disposal items to minimize short or excess cases.
Investigating ‘can’t finds’: Dealing with ‘can’t finds’ by investigating claims from customers and resolving any stock-related issues.
Working closely with Customer Service: Collaborating with the Customer Service team to address customer claims and ensure customer satisfaction.
Monday to Friday: 06:00 – 14:30

Key Skills:

Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment: You should have a good understanding of stock control measures and processes.
Organized and methodical approach: You should possess an organized and methodical approach to work, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Attention to detail: You should have strong attention to detail, able to complete repetitive tasks to a high standard.
Strong organizational skills: You should have strong organizational skills to work within tight deadlines and a fast-paced environment.
Health and Safety awareness: You should maintain an awareness of your working environment and work to Health and Safety standards.
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS): Experience with a recognized WMS such as Manhattan, Infor, or SAP would be desirable.
