Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate an HGV Class 1 (C+E) curtain side vehicle in Cardiff, Newport, and surrounding South Wales areas
- Complete 1 to 4 local deliveries per shift, ensuring timely and accurate service
- Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly
- Secure loads in compliance with legal and company standards
- Adhere to UK and EU driving regulations and company health & safety policies
- Communicate professionally with transport planners and customers to ensure smooth operations
Driver Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence (C+E), Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph card
- Minimum 1 year’s experience driving Class 1 vehicles (curtain side preferred)
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU driving regulations
- Reliable, professional with excellent timekeeping and communication skills
- Able to start shifts early between 05:00 and 08:00 and work independently
- Customer-focused attitude with a strong safety mindset
