We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Shift Supervisor to join our client’s team in Avonmouth.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the Shift Manager in the smooth running of the department. This includes allocating meat, leading a team to achieve production targets, and maintaining effective communication within the team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Shift Manager in supervising the production team and ensuring all activities are carried out efficiently and in adherence to company policies and standards.
- Allocate meat to team members based on production requirements, ensuring workload is evenly distributed.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor the production team to achieve production targets and maintain high-quality standards.
- Monitor and report on production progress, identifying any bottlenecks or issues and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate targets, discuss performance, and address any concerns or challenges.
- Collaborate with other supervisors and departments to ensure smooth workflow and coordination across the organization.
- Train new employees on production procedures, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records and reports.
- Utilize basic MS Excel skills for data entry, record keeping, and generating reports as required.
- Monitor and enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and implement necessary changes to increase productivity and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a production environment is essential.
- Strong communication skills, able to effectively liaise with team members, management, and other departments.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with the capability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving targets.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in using basic MS Excel for data entry and generating reports.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce them.
- Flexibility to work the designated shift hours and occasionally work additional hours when required.
Pay: £13.80 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 14:15pm till 22:30pm
