Warehouse Operative – Early Shift

Are you looking for a role in a fast-paced and exciting warehouse environment? Do you have experience in order picking and working in a chilled environment? If yes, then we have the perfect opportunity for you!

Aligra Recruitment is working on behalf of our client, a leading logistics company, to recruit a Warehouse Operative for their Avonmouth site.

You will work 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, with weekend working required. The rota will be well in advance, so you can plan your life around your work.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a 10% discount on shopping when you become a permanent member of staff. Set shift 0600-1400 shift. We also offer pay rises at 12 weeks and 27 weeks.

Job Responsibilities;

As a Warehouse Operative, your main responsibility will be to ensure the efficient and accurate picking of orders in a chilled environment. You will be required to:

  • Pick orders accurately and efficiently using a handheld scanner
  • Ensure that all products are picked in the correct quantities and are of the highest quality
  • Pack products carefully and appropriately, ensuring that they are ready for dispatch
  • Work to tight deadlines and targets, ensuring that all orders are picked on time
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as required, including stock taking and replenishment

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment, ideally in order picking
  • Comfortable working in a chilled environment
  • Good attention to detail, with the ability to pick accurately and efficiently
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and targets
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards work
  • Flexibility to work any 5 in 7 on a rota basis, weekend working is a requirement of this position
  • A willingness to learn and take on additional duties as required

Pay:

  • 0600-1400 shift: £12.18, rising to £13.04 after 12 weeks
  • Overtime available paid between £16.55 and £31.00 per hour
