Since 1980, our client has led the way in recycling, starting with silver recovery from photographic and printing waste. Today, they expertly handle over 1,000 types of hazardous waste across various commercial and industrial sectors, regardless of the challenge. With over 400 dedicated professionals on board, they effectively collect and manage upwards of 60,000 tonnes of hazardous waste annually for more than 20,000 UK organisations. They are now seeking a reliable and energetic Yard Operative to join their Bristol operation. Key Responsibilities:
- Carefully assist with the loading and unloading of hazardous waste materials
- Operate yard equipment and machinery safely, in compliance with regulations
- Maintain a well-organised and safe yard environment
- Follow health and safety guidelines, reporting any issues immediately
- Collaborate in a team-oriented setting to ensure all tasks meet established standards
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and different departments as required
Qualifications:
- Physically fit with the ability to handle heavy loads
- Previous experience in a yard or similar environment is an advantage
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions closely
- Adaptable and positive attitude
