Role Overview:
Step into the vibrant world of front of house service at Chepstow Racecourse, where you’ll be a key player in creating unforgettable guest experiences. As a Waiter/Waitress, you’ll shine in providing exceptional service at a variety of exciting events, from intimate private functions to exhilarating race day gatherings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide guests through the diverse menu options at Chepstow Racecourse, making informed suggestions to elevate their dining experience.
- Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes guests feel at ease and valued.
- Ensure your section is fully equipped with essentials like glassware, ice, and condiments, ready for efficient service.
- Set up dining areas and private event spaces to the highest standard, ensuring readiness for service.
- Maintain pristine cleanliness and order in your work area and public zones, adhering to strict Health & Safety and COSHH standards.
- Accurately process and fulfil orders, ensuring precise recording and authorisation for billing.
- Handle orders through the tills in accordance with established Racecourse procedures.
Requirements:
- Understanding of kitchen operations and commitment to food safety practices.
- Ability to upsell menu items, enhancing guest experiences and boosting revenue.
- Willingness to assist team members to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Exceptional guest service skills coupled with a friendly and approachable nature.
- Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous.
