Aligra Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established UK logistics operator to recruit HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for their Newport site. This role offers reliable, long-term work with regular shifts, a modern fleet, and a positive, well-supported driving operation.
Drivers with backgrounds at companies such as Veolia, Tesco, XPO, DHL or Stobart will find the work familiar, though experience with any comparable logistics or haulage business is equally suitable. This opportunity provides stability, flexibility, and strong earning potential.

Your Duties
- Drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles on trunking and general haulage routes
- Carry out vehicle checks before and after each shift
- Complete 2–3 depot-to-depot drops per shift
- Use digital tachographs and GPS systems correctly
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately
- Secure loads in line with health and safety standards
- Act as a professional representative of the company
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- At least 6 months’ Class 1 driving experience
- No more than 6 points on your licence (no DR or IN endorsements)
- Good working knowledge of EU drivers’ hours and WTD regulations
- A reliable, safety-focused, and professional attitude
