Aligra, on behalf of our esteemed client, is seeking Class 1 HGV Drivers, Class 1 HGV Trampers, and HIAB Drivers to join their expanding team in Newport. This role is perfect for individuals who have previously thrived in environments such as Fuel Drivers UK LTD, Tesco, or Moran Logistics.
Pay Rates:
- Weekday Days: £14.76 per hour
- Weekday Nights: £16.45 per hour
- Weekend Days: £17.15 per hour
- Weekend Nights: £18.65 per hour
- Bank Holidays: £18.65 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliveries & Collections:
Execute reliable deliveries and collections, ensuring that all goods are conveyed safely and reach their destinations on time. .
- HIAB Operations:
For those qualified, operate HIAB vehicles with precision, managing the loading and unloading operations efficiently.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
Conduct thorough daily checks on your vehicle, promptly reporting any issues to ensure seamless operations.
- Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the depot team to meet strict deadlines and uphold the company’s reputation for excellence.
- Paperwork Accuracy:
Accurately complete all delivery notes, timesheets, and relevant paperwork.
- Tramping Duties:
For those in tramper roles, be prepared to stay out overnight as required, supporting longer-distance deliveries.
What You Need:
- Licences and Certification:
A valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence, along with a HIAB certificate if applying for a HIAB role.
- Driving Experience:
Previous experience in a similar HGV driving role. A clean driving record with no more than 6 points on your licence, and no DD, DR, or IN convictions.

Strong communication skills and a professional approach to all interactions.
