Job description
Our client in Bury St Edmunds is looking for Class 2 Drivers to join their team on an ongoing basis. Candidates must be flexible to work any 5 out of 6 days.
The role will be starting immediately.
Duties:
- Safely and efficiently operate a Class 2 vehicle
- Load and unload parcels from the vehicle, ensuring they are securely stored and protected from damage
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner, including delivery notes and customer signatures
- Conduct regular vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure the vehicle is in good working order and report any defects or issues to the appropriate personnel
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team, keeping them informed of any delays or problems that may arise during the delivery process
- Uphold the company’s values and standards, including maintaining a neat and professional appearance, following company policies and procedures, and representing the company in a positive manner at all times
Requirements:
- HGV 2 Licence
- CPC and Tacho
- 1 year HGV driving experience
- As a Class 2 Driver for our client, you will be responsible for ensuring that all parcels are delivered on time and in excellent condition. This is a physically demanding role that requires a high level of attention to detail and excellent navigational skills.
Shifts & Pay
- Working any 5 out of 6 days
- £14.51per hour
- 00:00-08:30am
