Customs Administrator

Aligra Hinckley

We are delighted to be supporting our client in Coventry who is seeking a Customs Administrator. The role will be based in Hinckley for 1-2 weeks until the site relocates in June.

Working in a team of highly experienced people you will be learning and developing new skills daily.

Shift Pattern

  • Monday to Friday – 08:30-17:00

Responsibilities include;

  • Answering incoming calls and emails from internal and external customers
  • Completion of all daily reports in a timely manner including all client / internal reports to ensure SLA’s are met or exceeded
  • Receive pre-advice and shipping documents from carriers, create internal references in the WMS system
  • Supply clearance instructions to agents, ensure all paperwork is in order and follow through and chase any incorrect paperwork or missing paperwork
  • Check customs entries and update Daybook with the required details, input of all shipment details and customs details like weight, quantity and value.
  • Maintaining all relevant records in accordance with HMRC regulations on bonded warehouse process.
  • Ensure all daily/weekly reports are completed accurately and sent in a timely manner
  • Liaise on a daily basis with all other departments

Previous experience/skills;

  • Strong administration capabilities including MS Office
  • Intermediate/Advance Excel user – ESSENTIAL including VLOOKUP
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to hit deadlines
  • Accuracy and precision on reporting
