Position Overview:
We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and skilled Production Operative to join a reputable family-owned business specialising in horse bedding. This company is renowned for its dedication to quality and customer satisfaction. As a Production Operative, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth operation of the manufacturing process, ensuring that the high standards our client is known for are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating Bagging and Drying Equipment: Skillfully manage the company’s advanced bagging and drying machinery to produce top-tier shavings. Precision and attentiveness are crucial to maintaining product quality and efficiency.
- Fault Finding and Maintenance: Develop your troubleshooting skills by identifying and resolving basic production issues. Collaborate with the maintenance team to perform routine checks and upkeep, ensuring the seamless running of operations.
- Daily Equipment Checks: Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment, ensuring all components are in optimal working condition. Promptly report any inconsistencies or concerns to prevent downtime.
- Forklift Operation: Utilise your forklift expertise to efficiently load products onto a variety of customer vehicles. Adhere to safety protocols and ensure proper handling to maintain the integrity of the goods.
- Manual Handling and Lifting: Engage in general manual handling and lifting tasks as required.
- Demonstrate physical fitness and a commitment to workplace safety in all activities.
- Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow all established health and safety guidelines to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to achieve production goals and uphold the company’s reputation for excellence. Foster an atmosphere of mutual support and cooperation.
Shifts & Pay
- Salary: £13.90 per hour
- Overtime is paid at time and half.
- Hours: Monday to Friday: 05:45 – 14:15 & 14:15 – 22:15 (rotational shifts)
