Aligra, on behalf of our client, is actively seeking skilled Frame Assemblers for sofas in the heart of Melksham. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your woodworking skills and carpentry expertise within a company in which you can grow a fantastic career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Precision Woodwork Assembly: Utilise your carpentry skills to assemble sofa frames with accuracy and precision.
- Tool Maintenance and Usage: Maintain and utilise woodworking tools and equipment efficiently. Ensure all tools are in top working condition to promote a safe and productive work environment.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of assembled frames to ensure they meet standards and client specifications. Address any issues or make necessary adjustments as required.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with a team of like-minded professionals, sharing your expertise and working together.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in frame assembly, woodworking, or carpentry.
- An apprenticeship / NVQ or similar in carpentry.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work are critical for this role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work closely within a team environment.
Shift Details:
- Monday to Friday
- 6am to 2pm (Early 1pm finish on a Friday)
Pay:
- Starting salary at £12.81 per hour.
- This will increase once fully trained, with a pay by result structure once on a permanent contract.
