Are you a skilled and hardworking individual with a passion for hands-on work? Our client in Thatcham is on the lookout for an experienced and dedicated Production Operative to join their team!

In this dynamic role, you’ll work primarily with metals to help bring robust outdoor structures to life – playing a key part in turning raw materials into finished products that stand the test of time. If you take pride in precision, teamwork, and seeing the results of your labour come to life, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for!

Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Friday.
  • 40hrs per week.

Salary:

  • £13.85 per hour

The Role:

  • Drilling – Knowledge of types of alloys available and appropriate use on different materials.
  • Tapping – Practical application of various methods and tool types.
  • Health and Safety – Solid background in working safely and ensuring appropriate PPE is always utilised appropriately.
  • Quality – Ability to work to a very high standard. Excellent attention to detail with written and numerical information is essential.
  • Technical – Ability to interpret and work from technical documentation is advantageous but not essential.

You will be:

  • Passionate about lean manufacturing with excellent attention to detail and very hands on.
  • Conscientious in attitude, reflected in an appreciation of quality, cost and efficiency.
  • Experience of holding a similar role within a manufacturing organisation
  • Very good working knowledge in processing metal assemblies.
