Aligra Newbury
Our client based in Newbury are looking to hire an experienced Senior Warehouse Operative/Supervisor to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The right candidate will be responsible for the supervision of a small warehouse team, monitoring KPI’s and working directly with onsite managers.
Shift:
- Monday to Friday
- 08:30am to 17:00pm
Pay:
- £30,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and evaluate KPIs of direct reports.
- Open and close the Distribution Centre as required.
- Oversee the issuing and receiving of goods across all departments.
- Inspect inbound deliveries for accuracy and quality.
- Verify outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Pick and pack sales orders for dispatch.
- Ensure accurate goods identification to meet customer requirements.
- Manage stock movement, replenishment, and stocktaking.
- Communicate directly with customers as needed.
- Plan and coordinate haulage with supply chain service providers.
- Develop and mentor direct reports.
- Enforce health and safety procedures at all times.
Skills & Qualifications:
- (Essential) Valid Reach Forklift certification.
- (Desirable) Valid B1 Counterbalance Forklift certification.
- (Desirable) Valid A2 PPT certification.
- Proven experience in a Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong numeracy and literacy abilities.
- Team player with the ability to work independently under pressure.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in the workplace.
- Flexibility to work early shifts when covering annual leave.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
