Delivery Van Driver

Our client based on the outskirts of Pangbourne are looking to hire Van Drivers to assist with deliveries in the local areas. This is a temporary contract with the opportunity for permanent for the right person.

You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality food produce to restaurants and cafes, ensuring a seamless customer service experience.

Pay:

• £12.50 per hour

Shifts:

• 06:00am to 14:00pm
• 6 Shifts across Monday to Sunday

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver a high level of customer service by communicating effectively and professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Conduct thorough daily vehicle inspections to ensure the van is safe and roadworthy.
• Plan and organise delivery routes to maximize efficiency and ensure timely deliveries to restaurants and cafes.
• Safely load and unload food produce from the van, ensuring items are securely fastened and protected during transit.
• Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery notes and collection receipts.
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, including the safe handling and transport of goods.
• Work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.

Requirements:

• Valid UK Driving Licence is essential for this role.
• 2+ years of driving experience is preferred, ideally in multi-drop delivery.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and customers.
• Be reliable and punctual, prepared to commit long-term to the role.
• Must have a “safety-first” mindset and the ability to follow detailed health and safety procedures.
• Strong organisational skills to manage invoicing and paperwork effectively.
• Comfortable completing up between 10-25 drops per day.
