Goods-In: Stock Controller

Aligra Newbury

Our client based in Thatcham is looking for a Goods-In Stock Controller who holds a Counterbalance Forklift Licence to start immediately. The role is full-time on a temp-to-perm contract, with the possibility of converting to a permanent contract for the right candidate.

This role involves supporting the Senior Stores Controller with day-to-day tasks. You will be responsible for stock supplies, quality checks and any inbound/outbound materials.

Shift:

  • 7:30am – 3:30 pm
  • Monday to Friday
  • 40 hours per week

Pay:

  • From £13.00 per hour

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Efficiently pick jobs for customers and dispatch
  • Storing and rotating stock according to established procedures
  • Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers or Supervisors
  • Updating and maintaining the stock control system, including labelling stock
  • Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment
  • Assisting with warehouse inventory controls
  • Evaluate incoming materials, extrusions and components from suppliers to ensure they meet the required quality standards before use in production. (Measure and confirm dimensions are correct using basic technical drawings)
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality
  • Identify defects or non-conformities in materials, powder coating, components, or finished products and document findings for QC manager
  • Administrative and operational responsibilities may be required from time to time such as holiday cover for colleagues.
  • Occasional site work may be required, including deliveries of stores material to site on occasion.

ADVANTAGEOUS QUALIFICATIONS

  • Forklift license – willing to have a refresher course
  • Clean UK driving license
