Sales Controller

Location: Bristol, BS4

Salary: Between £27,000 to £30,000 per annum (OTE £50,000 to £55,000), plus company car!

Hours: 45 hours per week, worked between the hours of Monday to Friday 8:30 to 18:00 and Saturdays 08:30 to 17:30

Holiday Entitlement: You will receive 30 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays)

Our client is a family run multi-franchised dealership group which has been established for over 80 years. They sell and maintain new and used Renault, Dacia, Citroen, Peugeot, and Volvo.

Their Peugeot dealership are looking for a new Sales Controller to boost their team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Support & Customer Retention: Aid in prospecting and follow-up activities within the team to boost sales and maintain customer loyalty.
  • Customer Finance Interaction: Work alongside the Sales Manager to prepare and present finance quotations compliant with Consumer Duty standards.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Ensure consistent communication with the Marketing department to keep the website updated with the latest finance offers.
  • Second-Level Negotiation Support: Provide necessary intervention and advice during finance/insurance negotiations to aid the sales team.
  • Sales Documentation & Compliance: Oversee the completion of sales contracts that align with customer needs and sales objectives, ensuring adherence to Consumer Duty processes.
  • Performance Monitoring & Training: Manage tools like FISC/eMaster to maximize potential, maintain customer relationships to the highest standards, and train the team on achieving top results in Mystery Shop standards.
  • Administrative Excellence: Handle all administrative functions with precision, ensuring compliance with relevant sales legislation including Consumer Duty, FCA, and GDPR.


  • Must hold FCA/SAF accreditation.
  • Proven ability to handle and resolve customer issues with professionalism and empathy.
  • Strong interdepartmental communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment, managing both personal and team workflows.
  • Maintain a professional image consistently in all customer interactions.
  • Stay updated with new products, systems, and services and implement effective showroom controls.
