Catering Assistant

Salary: £25,000 per annum
Hours: Variable, to include weekends and evenings

Our client:
- Serve everything from intimate tea and coffee breaks to large-scale events and conferences.
- Operate 51 weeks a year, seven days a week.
- Deliver over 30,000 business lunches annually.
- Committed to using local ingredients and preparing food in-house from scratch.
Job Responsibilities:
As a member of our catering team, you will:
- Provide a warm, friendly, and welcoming service to clients.
- Serve food and beverages in various catering areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in catering areas before, during, and after shifts.
- Ensure all stock is up to date and properly rotated to minimise waste.
- Assist in setting up and dismantling catering areas for operational days.
- Use till systems and maintain high standards of service.
- Present and serve food in line with our standards.
- Assist customers with queries in a professional and courteous manner.
Team Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Hygiene, Health, and Safety regulations to ensure full compliance with legislation.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace in accordance with Food Safety Laws.
- Work conscientiously within a diverse team.
- Stay motivated to learn new skills and participate in staff training.
- Be willing to assist in other areas of the catering operation as needed.
- Collaborate with Catering Supervisors, Managers, Kitchen Staff, Event Managers, Customers, and relevant departments.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent customer and client awareness.
- Confident with good communication skills.
- High standards of personal presentation.
- Experience in a catering environment.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Relevant knowledge and qualifications.
