We are looking for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our client based in Reading!
This role demands a high level of professionalism, commitment, and attention to detail to maintain the outstanding service delivery for which our client is renowned.
Pay:
- £16.00 per hour
Shift:
- 04:00am – 06:00am starts
- Monday to Friday
Responsibilities:
- Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles with utmost care and expertise, adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols to ensure a smooth and secure delivery process.
- Ensure all goods are handled with care, and delivery schedules are met efficiently.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to plan and optimise delivery routes, ensuring timely deliveries and efficient fuel usage.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork related to each delivery, including delivery notes, timesheets, and incident reports. Maintain clear and concise records to support seamless operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the delivery service.
- Conduct regular checks and inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
- Report any discrepancies or maintenance needs promptly to the maintenance team.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and relevant legislation, maintaining the highest standards of conduct and professionalism at all times.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 Driving Licence
- A full UK driving licence
- Previous experience in a similar role
- No more than 6 points on the licence and no major endorsements
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
