We are looking for a Post and Parcel Delivery Drivers to join our client based in Chippenham. This is a temporary to permanent position.

As a vital member of our local delivery team, your day will commence at the delivery office. Here, you’ll spend the first hour sorting through the day’s mail for your specific route. Following this, you’ll embark on your delivery round, armed with a state-of-the-art hand-held computer device that will not only capture customer signatures but also navigate you through your round with the most efficient route, guiding you step-by-step to each destination.
Expect to spend around four hours on the road, ensuring each parcel reaches its recipient. Your round will combine community engagement with physical activity, as you’ll be on the move, delivering come rain or shine.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 08:00am to 18:00pm with overtime when required.
A company vehicle will be supplied.
Responsibilities:
- Sort post and parcels for your daily route
- Deliver post and parcels to commercial and/or residential properties
- Follow safety procedures and regulations
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Willing to do a lot of walking
- Willing to work in all weather conditions
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be physically fit and wiling to walk around 10 miles a day
- Must hold a clean UK driving licence
- Experience in a customer facing role would be beneficial but not essential
- Good with technology and able to use a PDA machine
- Must be over the age of 25
Hours of work
- 08:00 to 18:00 (Monday to Friday – plus overtime as required)
Pay
- £13.37 per hour
