Aligra Swindon
Our client in Swindon is looking for a warehouse operative/forklift driver to join their team on a temp to perm contract.
This role will start following successful interview.
Duties
- Picking, packing, and despatching of customer orders
- Selecting and using appropriate packaging materials to ensure products do not get damaged, whilst minimising costs and waste
- Monitoring stock levels in pick locations, dealing with damaged and missing stock, locating, moving stock.
- At times you may be required to lift relatively heavy boxes of stock, therefore it is essential that you are physically fit to lift items of weight. (Up to 25kg)
- Safely and efficiently load and unload items from vehicles
- Competently user of range of IT applications including warehouse management and barcode systems
- There will be a requirement to drive the company van to and from Head Office once a week, and therefore it is a necessity that you hold a clean driving license.
Requirements:
- Hold a full UK Driving licence
- ITSAAR or RTITB accredited counterbalance or Bendi licence (Counterbalance drivers have the opportunity to be upskilled to a Bendi)
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment
- Previous picking and packing skills preferred but not essential
Pay:
- £12.21 per hour
Hours of work:
- You will have a 38 hour working week (after deducted breaks), working day shifts only, Monday to Friday, however, times will vary slightly.
- Monday to Wednesdays – 08:00 to 16:30
- Thursdays – 09:00 to 16:30
- Fridays – 08:30 – 16:00
- (Each day you will have 2 x 15-minute paid breaks, plus 30-minute unpaid lunch break).
