Location: London
Salary: £12 per hour
Hours: 8:00 am – 14:00 pm

Are you an experienced Transport Administrator looking for a part-time weekend opportunity in London? Look no further! About the Role

As a Transport Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our client’s transport logistics. This position requires a proactive and organised individual who can manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Scheduling and Coordination: Manage and schedule transport logistics, ensuring that all vehicles are allocated efficiently and are on time for their deliveries and collections.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and maintain transport documents, including delivery notes, vehicle checklists, and compliance records. Ensure all paperwork is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Communication: Act as the main point of contact for drivers and customers, providing updates and resolving any issues that may arise during transport operations.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of transport activities, including driver logs, route plans, and fuel usage. Use transport management software to input and retrieve data.
  • Issue Resolution: Quickly identify and resolve any transport-related issues, such as vehicle breakdowns or route changes, to minimize disruptions and delays.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing queries and concerns promptly and professionally. Ensure that all customer interactions are positive and that their needs are met.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that all transport operations comply with health and safety regulations. Report any incidents or accidents immediately and take appropriate action to resolve them.
  • Reporting: Generate regular reports on transport activities, including performance metrics and KPIs, for management review.

Requirements

  • Previous Transport Admin Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the logistics or transport sector.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with drivers, customers, and other team members.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that all documentation and data entries are accurate and complete.
  • IT Proficiency: Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and transport management software.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends and potentially transition to a full-time role for the right candidate.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think on your feet and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
