Customer Service Executive

Location: Tilbury, Essex
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 17:00
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Aligra is excited to recruit on behalf of our esteemed client for the position of Customer Service Executive in Tilbury. This is a full-time role offering a fantastic opportunity to work within the dynamic and fast-paced freight forwarding industry. Once trained and confident in the role, there is the potential for a working-from-home option, which will be discussed between you and your line manager.

Role Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in shipping, sea, air, and road freight forwarding.
  • Strong knowledge of the global freight industry.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly personality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A collaborative and dynamic team player.
  • Excellent English and Maths skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with Agents and Customers: You will act as the primary point of contact, ensuring seamless communication between agents, customers, and the company.
  • Your ability to maintain strong relationships and offer exceptional customer service will be crucial.
    Providing Quotations:
  • You will be responsible for preparing and providing detailed and accurate quotations to customers and agents.
  • This involves understanding their requirements thoroughly and offering competitive pricing.
    Booking New Shipments:
  • You will manage the booking process for new shipments, ensuring all necessary documentation and information is accurate and up-to-date. This includes sea, air, and road freight for both import and export.
    Managing Cross-Trade Shipments:
  • You will oversee the coordination and management of cross-trade shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery across various regions.
    Handling Invoicing:
  •  You will be in charge of processing invoices related to shipments, addressing any discrepancies, and ensuring timely billing
