Salary: £13.50 per hour/ Approx £607 a week
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Shift: 6:00am to 16:00pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunchbreak
Contract: 3-Month Temporary Position (Potential for Permanent Placement)
About the Role
This full-time position is perfect for individuals who thrive in a physical environment and have a keen eye for detail. As a Sorting Line Operative, your primary responsibility will be to efficiently sort metal from rubble, ensuring the integrity and quality of materials. You’ll work in a collaborative team, contributing to sustainable practices and enhancing the company’s operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Sorting Metal from Rubble: Meticulously separate metal from rubble to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards. Your precision will play a critical role in maintaining our client’s reputation for excellence.
- Maintenance Tasks: Engage in maintenance activities from 3 pm onwards, ensuring equipment and machinery are in optimal condition. Your attention to detail will help prevent disruptions and support continuous operations.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Immediately report any hazards or incidents to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow operatives and management to achieve daily targets. Your ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team will enhance productivity and foster a positive workplace atmosphere.
- Quality Assurance: Continuously monitor the sorting process to ensure high standards of quality and efficiency. Your commitment to excellence will be instrumental in meeting client expectations.
