HGV Class 2 Skip Driver – Ashbourne / Derby Area
Aligra is recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join a leading Waste & Recycling specialist based near Ashbourne, DE6.
In this vital role, your driving expertise will directly contribute to environmental sustainability and the community by safely delivering and collecting skips. You will operate modern skip lorries within a supportive team that values safety, reliability, and excellent service.

What’s in it for you?
- Guaranteed hours Monday to Friday, 7am – 4pm
- Competitive pay at £16.30 per hour, equating to approximately £652 per week
- Weekly pay in arrears, every Friday
- Holiday pay and company training opportunities

What we’re looking for:
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence and CPC qualification
- Previous experience driving HGVs, preferably in waste management or similar sectors
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety regulations
- Excellent driving, navigation, and communication skills
- Commitment to safety and environmental responsibility
Key duties include:
- Safe and efficient delivery, exchange, and collection of skips to domestic and commercial customers
- Daily vehicle checks and reporting of defects
- Maintaining accurate paperwork and electronic records
- Using GPS to assist with route optimisation
- Liaising with fleet office and supporting excellent customer service
