The JCB Group has taken over the Marshall Volkswagen dealership at Tunbridge Wells, taking its representation of the German car brand to three locations.
Owner and managing director Jonathan Bischoff, who started the business as the youngest ever VW sponsored retailer in 1998, said the dealership is being rebranded as JCB Volkswagen Tunbridge Wells and staff are being transferred from Marshall, which is part of Constellation Automotive.
“We are looking forward to welcoming the staff of Volkswagen Tunbridge Wells into the JCB Group family. Our customer-first ethos will hopefully please existing and future customers of the branch and we hope the business will build from strength to strength offering our customers the best choice locally.
“We value our staff’s input and enthusiasm to be the best in the business. We are looking forward to having a presence in this lovely part of the county of Kent.”
The dealer group said its enlarged buying power will mean greater choice and competitive prices for its customers through a huge selection of new and quality approved used cars.
“The JCB Group has an excellent track record for offering great value new and used Volkswagen vehicles with top quality customer service to match,” it said.
JCB Group’s other Volkswagen dealerships are at Ashford and Medway. The group also represents other brands including Renault, Kia, Cupra, VW Commercial Vehicles and Skoda in the south east of England.
Marshall still has 11 Volkswagen dealerships, including at Horsham, Gatwick, Newbury and Oxford.
