Are you a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for logistics? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy coordinating various aspects of deliveries? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Transport Planner in Andover.


Communicating with drivers throughout the day to provide them with necessary information and update them on any changes or issues.
Collaborating with the sales team to ensure all aspects of deliveries are coordinated effectively and timely.
Organizing any external and extra transport, including booking pallet network deliveries and maintaining records of these bookings.
Coordinating drivers to cover the day’s deliveries, which may include booking agency or temporary drivers when needed.
Conducting day-to-day preparation for routing in the evening, checking weights, dates, and noting any special requirements.
Managing collections from suppliers and customers’ sites, ensuring timely and efficient pick-ups.
Facilitating feedback from drivers to the sales team and vice versa, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving.
Carrying out the daily routing schedule at the end of each day, accumulating all orders and planning them for loading and delivery the next day.
Managing delivery issues via “green forms”, producing and advising on them to resolve any challenges.
Ensuring the timely and accurate booking in of drivers’ arrivals with collections.
Booking in and providing guidance on any special requirements for deliveries.
Completing drivers’ information after routing, including start time, vehicle details, and necessary paperwork.
Monday to Friday: 09:30 – 18:30

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000


Previous experience in logistics coordination or a similar role is preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with drivers and the sales team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in using logistics software and systems.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in logistics operations.
A proactive and problem-solving mindset to address any challenges that may arise.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
