As part of our 2026 expansion, we’re on the lookout for a Senior Credit Controller to join our head office team!
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Credit Controller to join the team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day process, develop strong relationships with our clients and shape how the function works. You’ll have the systems you need, along with the freedom to identify improvements and make the role your own.
You’ll be responsible for preparing and issuing client invoices, allocating payments, sending statements and following up on outstanding balances. You’ll manage the aged debt ledger, monitor credit limits, resolve invoice queries and keep clients and colleagues informed when an account needs attention. You’ll oversee and support the payroll function where necessary.

Key Responsibilities
- Credit Control: Chase outstanding debts, proactively contact customers to collect overdue payments, monitor aged debt, reconcile customer accounts, complete credit checks, set credit limits, allocate payments accurately, prepare regular aged debt and bad debt reports, and keep outstanding debt within agreed limits, highlighting concerns and establishing procedures to effectively manage debt levels.
- Client Invoicing and Finance Administration: Create permanent placement invoices and credit notes, manage client invoices related to payroll, handle neutral vendor clients and data validation, manage the process with our finance partner and address and resolve payroll queries and issues.
- Payroll Administration and Reporting: Manage and oversee weekly payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion. process payroll figures and send them to key stakeholders, produce and maintain weekly digital payroll folders, manage cash advances and deductions, support our branches with payroll-related enquiries, update and maintain payroll figures for various reports and audits.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience as a Credit Controller
- Experience using Sage or other finance software (Desirable)
- Highly organised and accurate with information
- Comfortable reporting to senior management periodically
