Two more Honda dealerships have gained the Marshall brand above the door, following the AM100 group’s latest acquisition.
Marshall Motor Group has acquired Honda Blackburn and Honda Clitheroe from Greenacre, including the business and assets and transfering its workforce to Marshall.
It said the deal was done in full consultation with Honda UK.
Carole Merry, Honda franchise director at Marshall Motor Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome the Honda retailers in Blackburn and Clitheroe to Marshall, expanding our commitment to the Honda division. This is another positive step in our growth and investment strategy for the brand.”
Marshall now operates Honda dealerships at eight locations in the UK: Blackburn, Clitheroe, Harrogate, Hull, Leicester, Peterborough, Reading and York.
It would have had nine, however Marshall closed down Honda Scarborough in April, citing Honda’s review of its representation in Yorkshire.
Earlier this year Honda UK’s Rebecca Adamson told AM that the number of partners in its dealer network would reduce slightly under its current network plan, to ensure profitability for the remaining dealerships.
