HGV Class 1 Driver – Nights

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) HGVs on night trunking and general haulage routes
•  Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting defects promptly
• Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS and digital tachograph systems
• Complete up to 2–3 drops per shift, primarily depot-to-depot or trunking runs- No handball
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and ensure compliance with driving regulations
• Secure loads following health & safety best practices to ensure safe transport
• Deliver excellent customer service representing the company professionally at all times

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence, UK CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 2 years’ experience driving Class 1 HGV vehicles
• Maximum 9 points on licence; no DR or IN endorsements permitted
• Comfortable working night shifts starting at 18:00
• Strong knowledge of EU driving hours, WTD regulations, and health & safety standards
• Good communication skills with a professional and reliable approach
