Do you have your own transport and enjoy the flexibility of adhoc shifts? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you as a Kitchen Assistant at a well-known event in Chepstow.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be an integral part of the culinary team, supporting the smooth running of the kitchen operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, vibrant environment and gain valuable experience within the hospitality industry.


  • Assist the chefs in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes ensuring high standards are maintained at all times.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and cooking areas to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.
  • Assist with food storage, stock rotation, and inventory control to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure all food items are stored at the correct temperatures, maintaining food safety guidelines.
  • Assist with the plating and presentation of dishes to ensure they are visually appealing.
  • Support the chefs with ingredient preparation, including chopping, peeling, and portioning.
  • Assist with the cleaning of dishes, cutlery, and kitchenware as required.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
  • Adhere to company policies and maintain a professional and courteous attitude towards customers and colleagues.
  • Assist with any other kitchen duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.


  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a busy kitchen environment.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work varying shift patterns, including evenings and weekends.
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards work.


  • Competitive hourly rate of £10.42 per hour.
