Are you experienced in warehouse operations and passionate about maintaining high standards of food safety and quality?

Join a busy site in Newbury where your role is vital in ensuring smooth goods handling, safe storage and accurate dispatch in a food production environment.

You’ll be a key player in supporting production by managing inbound and outbound stock efficiently, with a strong focus on compliance and teamwork. We welcome candidates who understand warehouse processes, fork lift operation, and have a commitment to food safety.

Pay & Shift:

  • £14.82 per hour (£592.80 per week based on 40 hours)
  • Monday to Friday
  • Early Shift: 04:30am to 13:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate fork lift trucks safely and complete daily equipment checks
  • Receive, store and manage stock including allergens, chilled, frozen and raw ingredients following strict food safety and labelling standards
  • Ensure all goods are correctly dated, labelled, sealed and palletised for dispatch
  • Complete all dispatch documentation accurately and meet daily shipping targets
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety and hygiene standards throughout the warehouse and production support areas
  • Report any machinery faults, safety hazards or site damage promptly to supervisory staff
  • Assist with regular stock takes, warehouse cleaning and supporting other departments when needed
  • Adhere to all HACCP and safety protocols, ensuring full traceability and stock rotation

Requirements:

  • Forklift truck licence (Flexi/Bendi) is essential.
  • Fork lift truck licence (Counterbalance) is beneficial.
  • Basic food safety knowledge or willingness to undertake training.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Flexible, reliable and committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
