Are you ready to join an exciting new chapter in warehouse and logistics operations? Aligra is recruiting Stock Control Assistants for our client’s brand-new National Distribution Centre near Newbury.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring inventory accuracy and supporting smooth warehouse operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and help shape this newly created role within a fast-growing operation.

Pay & Shift:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:30am to 17:00pm
  • £27,000 per annum

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting daily cycle counts of SKUs to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies promptly and thoroughly
  • Monitoring internal stock transfers and ensuring accurate record keeping
  • Supporting inbound/outbound quality control checks
  • Responding to customer queries with timely, accurate information
  • Managing consumables inventory and replenishment
  • Compiling detailed reports and maintaining procedural compliance
  • Assisting with stocktaking and data entry tasks
  • Ensuring adherence to Health & Safety regulations within the warehouse environment

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Previous experience in inventory or stock control within a warehouse setting is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numeracy/literacy skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
