Apprenticeship Technical Trainer – Stellantis

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: Up to £39,000 to £43,000 per annum, plus company car!

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Our client

Our client is a specialist training organisation contracted to several market-leading automotive manufacturers. They deliver apprenticeship training programmes to over 700 apprentices in several automotive retailers.

They are looking to recruit a Technical Trainer to join the team at clients impressive training Academy. Apprentices are undertaking a range of programmes, at level 2 and 3; typically, Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair within the manufacturer programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Light Vehicle Level 2 and Level 3 apprenticeship training programmes linked to the manufacturer’s technician accreditation pathways and High Voltage journey.
  • Prepare the learning environment and resources (including setting up the workshop vehicles with training faults)
  • Track, measure and monitor learner progression, working with the wider team (including Regional
  • Development Coaches) to provide additional support as required.
  • Assist with development of new training material as required.
  • Develop and embed functional skills across all training delivery.
  • Produce off the job training reports.
  • Ensure that personal development is maintained and attend relevant updates sessions as instructed and required by the role.
  • Ensure all training adheres to Health and Safety standards, Safeguarding and Prevent
  • Observe all policies and procedures, as well as Ofsted and ESFA requirements.
  • All other administrative, delivery, and assessment activities as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Level 3 Automotive qualifications such as IMI Level 3 Diploma or Apprenticeship (EHV desirable)
  • Strong Workshop background/experience (Essential)
  • Assessment, training or teaching qualification or a willingness to undertake a qualification (Teaching, training & assessing learning L3)
  • Relevant Health & Safety Qualification (desirable)
  • Full Driving License
  • Safeguarding, Prevent and Equality & Diversity training (desirable)
  • Recent manufacturer workshop experience (desirable)
  • Strong awareness of new technical innovation
  • Be competent in using MS software packages.

Pre-employment Checks: Our client will undertake the relevant/standard employment checks with any successful candidate. This includes contacting all nominated references, as well as checking candidate ID, driving licence (if appropriate) and right to work in the UK. Some roles may also be subject to further pre-employment checks (confirmation will be provided through the recruitment process). This nature if this role will necessitate that we undertake a DBS check.
