Location: Tilbury
Shift: 02:00 am start times
Work Days: Flexible, with the opportunity to work across various days, including weekends.

About the Role:

As a Driver’s Mate, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless and efficient delivery of goods alongside our Class 2 Driver. Your day will begin with early starts, allowing you to navigate the bustling streets of London while the city sleeps, ensuring that customer deliveries are executed flawlessly. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced logistics professionals and gain invaluable skills in the delivery industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the Class 2 Driver:

Assist the Driver during daily routes, ensuring our deliveries are completed efficiently and on time.
Plan and navigate routes effectively to avoid delays and ensure prompt delivery to customers in and around London.
Coordinate closely with the Driver to address any challenges that may arise during the delivery process.
Delivery and Handling of Goods:

Participate in the delivery of a range of products, ensuring each item is handled with care to prevent damage.
Securely load and unload goods, working as a team to manage heavy and large items safely.
Engage in manual handling of goods, adhering strictly to health and safety guidelines.
Customer Interaction and Satisfaction:

Engage with customers professionally, ensuring a positive delivery experience.
Address customer inquiries on-site and ensure that any issues are escalated to the Driver or team promptly.
Warehouse and Inventory Duties:

Assist in warehouse operations as needed, contributing to the organization, loading, and unloading of goods.
Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment, ensuring all items are stored correctly and safely.
Product Assembly (as required):

Assemble products at delivery locations when necessary, following instructions meticulously to ensure customer satisfaction.
Ensure all items are set up correctly, ensuring functionality and quality standards are met.
Requirements:

Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
Excellent time management, with the ability to adapt to changing schedules and demands.
Physical fitness, capable of manual lifting and handling of heavy goods.
Attention to detail, ensuring all deliveries and assemblies are executed to the highest standard.
