Job Description: Exports Logistics Executive
We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Exports Logistics Executive to join our client’s team at their Tilbury location. As an Exports Logistics Executive, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the export operations, ensuring that all shipments are processed efficiently and in compliance with international regulations.
Hours: Monday to Friday 0900-1700hrs
Salary: Depending on experience
Role Requirements:
- The successful candidate must have a minimum of two years of experience in export operations, preferably both airfreight and seafreight.
- In addition, you should have experience in completing export documentation, including checking country requirements and raising Certificates of origin if required. Experience in completing customs declarations is also necessary.
- Familiarity with CNS and Destin8 is preferred, as our forwarding software is Multi-freight. Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a friendly personality are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is required.
- The ideal candidate should also be a strong and dynamic team player, with excellent English and Maths skills.
Job Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Communicating with customers, hauliers, and carriers to ensure smooth and timely export operations.
- Arranging bookings with lines and carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring the availability of appropriate transportation modes.
- Coordinating collections and ensuring that all shipments are prepared and dispatched on time to meet vessel/flight deadlines.
- Completing customs entries accurately and in compliance with regulations.
- Liaising with customs authorities, resolving any issues or queries that may arise during the customs clearance process.
