Job Description: Import Logistics Executive
Aligra, a leading recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Import Logistics Executive on behalf of our client. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing the import logistics process and ensuring the smooth flow of goods into the Tilbury port.
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Monday to Friday 0900-1700hrs
Role Requirements:
- Proven successful track record of at least two years working for a small to medium-sized freight forwarder.
- Experience of CNS and Destin8. Our forwarding software is Multi-freight.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and friendly personality.
- Competent using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong and dynamic team player.
- Excellent Maths and English skills.
Job Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Communicating with various customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors such as shipping lines, hauliers, and depots to ensure smooth operations.
- Raising internal files for various shipments and maintaining accurate records.
- Raising invoices for services rendered and ensuring timely payment.
- Reviewing and processing supplier invoices, addressing any discrepancies or queries.
- Checking vessel arrivals and coordinating collection and delivery schedules.
- Ensuring all customer deadlines are met and resolving any issues that may arise during the import process.
- Following up with customers after delivery to ensure satisfaction and identify additional opportunities for service.
- Staying updated with industry trends and regulations to effectively manage import logistics operations.
