After only their first month of opening Europa Road’s three new sales branches are already delivering for an increasing number of local customers, demonstrating strong demand for European road services across the UK.
Part of pioneering independent logistics operator Europa Worldwide Group – Europa Road invested half million-pound investment to increase its UK European road freight sales network. This investment is part of Europa Road’s strategic growth plan announced by its Branch Network and Sales Director, Adrian Redmile whose ambition is to grow Europa’s European road freight division.
The operator increased its regional presence on 1st May growing from 13 to 16 local sales branch sites having opening in Cambridge, Liverpool and Cardiff. These new locations expanded Europa Road’s footprint and filled geographic gaps across the North, East, and West between its existing sites.
Adrian Redmile, Branch Network and Sales Director comments:
“I’m delighted with how our new sales branches are already performing, and supporting customers in each local area. After the first 30 days we had shipped over 90 consignments, consisting of both imports and exports, we delivered 60 per cent of exports using Europa Flow to ensure smooth customs clearance. The breadth of customers is very broad across from manufacturers to agriculture.”
The UK is currently the ninth largest manufacturing nation in the world and accounts for 45 per cent of total exports – totalling £275bn. Overall, the UK’s industrial sector has increased by 1.4 per cent per year according to report from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
Adrian added:
“We’re pleased to be supporting a wide range of business sectors. The Cardiff, Cambridge and Liverpool teams have all done exceptionally well, these are all completely new territories with brand new members of staff, new to Europa and some new to the industry, all of which are now providing imports and exports on our pan European daily services.”
Europa Road division provides market leading European road freight services, operating the UK’s largest European groupage hub which is situated in Dartford.
In 2021, the European road freight market was worth around 374,461m euros, which is expected to continue rising, by 2026 the total European road freight market is forecast to be worth 431,360m euros.
The last few years has been one of major investment and growth for Europa Road which has seen Europa Road invest over £5m in Europa Flow – an innovative product which successfully allows goods to move quickly and efficiently between the UK and EU with minimal delays. Europa Road has gone from strength to strength, during the COVID-19 pandemic it offered uninterrupted services resulting in increasing consignment volumes of goods going to and from Europe.
