A leading distribution firm has invested millions into new premises in Armthorpe, Doncaster, to meet the growing demands of the business.
McGregor Logistics, a member of the Palletways network, has recently expanded into a new 278,000 sq ft. ‘mega depot’. The state-of-the-art facilities are tailor-made for McGregor’s activities, which includes heavy and palletised haulage and palletised storage, and is already home to a number of high profile clients from the automotive and gardening industries. The premises includes a host of energy efficient features including rain water harvesting facilities and multiple electric car charging points.
More than 60 employees work at the depot, collectively moving in excess of 800 pallets a day. The depot can accommodate McGregor’s growing fleet of 89 vehicles, boasting 38 loading bays and four roller access shutter doors, with capacity to store more than 44,000 pallets.
Katy Riley, operations director for McGregor Logistics, said:
