What you’ll be doing:
- Operating HGV vehicles to move trailers safely around the yard and on local deliveries
- Conducting thorough vehicle and trailer checks to ensure all are roadworthy and compliant with safety standards
- Strapping down goods securely to prevent movement during transit
- Maintaining accurate records of vehicle condition and any incidents
- Assisting with additional duties as required to support yard and transport operations
- Communicating effectively with yard supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth logistics flow
Shift times: 02:00 – 10:00
What we’re looking for:
- Valid HGV licence with relevant endorsements to operate shunter vehicles
- Proven experience in a similar HGV shunter or yard driver role
- Strong focus on health and safety standards and vehicle maintenance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
