Your key responsibilities will include:
- Safely operating Class 1 shunting vehicles to move trailers around the yard efficiently
- Managing bay assignments to ensure optimal trailer placement supporting smooth distribution flow
- Conducting thorough safety checks and daily inspections of shunting vehicles before use
- Communicating clearly with yard teams and drivers to coordinate trailer movements and minimise delays
- Maintaining accurate records of trailer locations and movements within the yard
- Adhering to all site safety policies and contributing to a safe working environment at all times
What we’re looking for:
- Valid Class 1 Shunter Driver licence with proven experience in trailer movement and yard management
- Excellent understanding of yard safety procedures and compliance
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Good communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work reliably on the 18:00 – 06:00 shift
