Job Description:

Are you passionate about vehicles and have a knack for tyre management? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Tyre Fitter in Desford. At Aligra, we recruit on behalf of our client, a leading rubber engineering specialist.

About the Role:

  • As a Tyre Fitter, you will be an integral part of our team of experienced Tyre Technicians, delivering and exceptional and efficient service to our valued customer. Reporting to the Depot Manager, you will be responsible for fitting tyres to clean wheels, at our client’s sites.
  • Your working hours will be from 06:30-15:30 Monday to Thursday and 06:30-11:00 on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fitting and removing light and heavy tyres to industry standards, ensuring proper alignment and balance.
  • Repairing all types of tyres using appropriate techniques and equipment.
    Assisting the Depot Manager in maintaining a well-stocked inventory of tyres and accessories.
  • Providing accurate and detailed reports on completed work, including recommendations for additional services if required.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
    Continuously improving your skills and knowledge through ongoing training and development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for vehicles and possess the following qualifications and skills:
  • Proven experience as a Tyre Fitter or related role would be beneficial
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • A valid driver’s license & access to own transport
  • This is a physically demanding role
