The role:
Working closely with the Yard Manager, you’ll support safe and efficient yard operations including:
- Assisting with daily running of the site and managing staff cover
- Acting as authorised Key Holder and responsible for site security when required
- Leading and developing yard supervisors and operatives
- Promoting health, safety and continuous improvement
- Carrying out risk assessments and maintaining high standards of housekeeping
Pay:
- From £40,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday
- Optional Saturday Overtime available
About you:
- Valid Forklift and 360 Excavator licences
- Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel between sites
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a yard, waste, recycling or logistics environment
- Strong communication, decision-making and people-management skills
- Practical, hands-on approach with a good understanding of health and safety
