Position Overview:

Join a dedicated team that prioritises eco-friendly practices and efficient waste management. As a Waste Loader and Machinery Operator, you will be at the forefront of our refuse vehicle operations, ensuring the seamless collection and transport of waste materials.

Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 6:45 – 17:30

Payrate: £12.71

Key Responsibilities:

Efficient Waste Collection:
Load and transport waste materials using refuse vehicles, ensuring all collections are performed with precision and in line with scheduled operations. You will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sustainability of the community.

Machinery Operation:
Operate machinery on the refuse vehicle safely and efficiently. Adhere to all operational guidelines and ensure machinery is used optimally for effective waste management.

Safety Compliance:
Follow strict health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately to the supervisor.

Team Collaboration:
Work closely with your team to achieve daily targets. Your ability to collaborate will be crucial in meeting the high standards expected by our client.

Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance:
Conduct regular checks and basic maintenance on vehicles and machinery. Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and report any malfunctions promptly.

Route Management:
Assist in planning efficient collection routes to maximise productivity and minimise environmental impact. Be adaptive to changes in routes or schedules to meet objectives effectively.

Qualifications and Skills:

Physical Fitness:
Ability to handle heavy loads and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Safety Awareness:
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to waste management.

Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal communication skills for effective interaction with team members and supervisors.

Adaptability:
Positive attitude with the ability to adapt to changing schedules and tasks efficiently.
