Sandicliffe Motor Group is the latest AM100 car dealer to join the franchised network of GWM Ora UK, the IM Group-owned distributor of China’s Ora electric cars.
It has opened a GWM Ora dealership at Nottingham, its first showroom for the brand.
Sandicliffe Nottingham joins an existing GWM ORA network that consists of AM100 retail partners including Lookers Group, Wessex Garages, City South West, Peter Vardy Group and Chorley Group.
Paul Woodhouse, Sandicliffe’s chief executive, said the group is delighted to represent GWM ORA brand in the UK. “With standout styling, a premium fit and finish and fantastic levels of technology, ORA Funky Cat First Edition is going to be a brilliant addition to our showroom. We can’t wait to present it to our customers in and around Nottinghamshire.”
Sandicliffe has been retailing electric cars for several years already, through its Nissan dealerships and its MG showrooms.
The AM Award-winning family-run dealer group, which has been in operation for 75 years with car dealerships across the Midlands, has had a long partnership with Ford, which it still represents in Nottingham, Leicester and Loughborough.
Toby Marshall, managing director, GWM ORA UK, said: “This new retailer appointment is another really positive move for the GWM ORA brand in the UK. Sandicliffe is a well-established automotive business, offering fantastic levels of customer service and electric vehicle expertise. I look forward to working with the team in Nottingham as we grow our operations across the UK.”
