TVS Interfleet, the home of Purpose Bodies, McPhee, Wilcox, Priden and SB Components, is to showcase several examples of its bodies at the RTExpo (28th-30th June, NAEC Stoneleigh).

The star of the stand will be the new all-electric ready-mix concrete mixer, which features no less than seven new patents. Built by McPhee Mixers, the e-mixer sits on a Renault EV chassis and has been ordered by Aggregate Industries. During the show, TVS Interfleet will be hosting live demos of the e-mixer, so that visitors to the stand can see it in action.

The e-mixer works on an entirely new digital operating system and features new, innovative technology that improves safety during operation, reduces noise and vibrations, all while contributing to improved air quality. The e-mixer boasts increased energy savings and has a longer lifespan compared to its traditional internal combustion engine counterparts.

Also on stand will be a fully electric 16t Ikea box van which has been built by Purpose Bodies and also sits on a Renault EV chassis. We have been working closely with Ikea, Wincanton and Renault to provide a fit for “Purpose” body for Ikea’s new distribution centre in Dartford, which will see 100% of their customer orders delivered on electric vehicles by 2025.

Visitors to the stand can also view a Wilcolite smooth insulated asphalt and aggregated body built by Wilcox on a Volvo ICE Chassis,  while also being able to see the traditional SB Component catwalk and fuel tank, both of which are designed and manufactured in-house at TVS Interfleet’s Wisbech facility.

Phil Ashton, Commercial Director at TVS Interfleet, says: “We’re gearing up for what is likely to be one of the best RTExpo shows. We’re showcasing never-before seen technology that will shake up the construction and transportation industry, not just in the UK, but globally. A number of these new innovations are transferable onto standard ICE equipment and can also be retrofitted to existing equipment too.

“There is so much interest in EV vehicles and the role they have to play in decarbonising many industries, but our role is to show customers how important the body element is within the conversation and the impact it can have in delivering on the environmental impact while also enhancing safety.

“We will also have on stand examples of diesel vehicles and their bodies, as we’re also aware that for some customers, this remains the most viable option for them at this time.”

TVS Interfleet’s stand can be found in Red location, stand number R43.
