Process Engineer

Job description

Aligra, in partnership with our client, is currently seeking an Process Engineer to join our dynamic Coleshill team. As an integral part of our organisation, you will play a key role in decreasing expenses, implementing innovative procedures, and improving the operational efficacy of our site.

This position requires a dedicated individual who can ensure that each division in the warehouse is operating efficiently, address any issues, and continuously enhance operations while adhering to health and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

  • Make informed decisions regarding the purchase or lease of capital equipment, such as forklifts, generators, compactors, and others, based on business needs.
  • Utilise Lean Standards in daily assignments, including PFEP, value stream mapping, and engineering studies.
  • Proactively improve onsite processes to achieve cost, time, and waste reductions.
  • Manage the engineering function for projects, including budgeting, process optimization, and equipment management.
  • Monitor and review headcount data, analyse its impact on the business, and develop improvement initiatives.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including system enhancements and space utilization plans for expansion.
  • Collaborate with operations, account management, facilities, and project management teams to implement solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and operational staff.

Requirements:

  • Strong optimisation experience within a logistics, automotive, or manufacturing environment.
  • A Master’s or bachelor’s degree in an appropriate subject is desirable.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Lean 6 Sigma experience is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret data, present conclusions, and propose improvement initiatives.
  • Highly proficient in IT skills, including Microsoft applications and project management software.
  • Ideally experienced with supply chain applications such as WMS, TMS, OMS, and SCM.
